Lior Tabansky is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Political Science at Tel Aviv University, advised by Prof. Azar Gat and Prof. Isaac Ben Israel. His dissertation examining Cyberspace in comparative national security perspectives will be published in 2015.
Lior has been researching political aspects of information technologies at the Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security, Tel Aviv University, and at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). He holds Master of Arts cum laude from the Tel Aviv University Security Studies Program (2006). The M.A. thesis presented the role of
Advanced Technology in Israel’s Struggle against Palestinian Terrorism, 2000-2005.
Lior Tabansky's expertise in strategic cybersecurity analysis stems from a unique combination: a formal political science education, a long hands-on experience implementing and managing ICT in business process, and a commitment to interdisciplinary academic policy-oriented research.
